Colombia - Francy Burbano

Hello!

We're here again with washed Pink Bourbon from Franci Burbano Francy Burbano from Colombia!

This coffee got to us with some collaborative work between two friends. 

Casey and Paul started working at Madcap coffee's Downtown market location two months apart. Paul still remembers like yesterday Casey explaining how to brew batch brew and Madcap's philosophy behind it. They went through crazy busy weekends behind espresso machine together. 

Years later, Paul moved on to roasting position and Casey became manager at Monroe location. They didn't work side by side no more t but they loved talking about coffee at the cupping table in the roastery or whenever they had a chance.

Time passed by again, Casey is now managing the roastery and buying green coffee for Madcap and Paul started Neem Coffee with April. Last year, they both got invited to be a jury at the  coffee competition called 'Copa de Oro' hosted by Osito Coffee.

Long story short, Paul had to turn it down but Casey was there to taste amazing coffees. 

When Paul and April heard that Francy Burbano's Pink Bourbon was one of Casey's favorite coffee and also only female producer who was placed in top 15, we didn't hesitate one second. 

We highly recommend resting it for at least two weeks.
