Hello!
We're back with new coffee on our menu!
If you've been following our journey from the beginning, chance is high that you've heard about us working with Azahar coffee based in Colombia.
This is our second coffee sourcing from Azahar coffee and Paul's good friend/ mentor, Ryan Knapp.
This coffee is special because of couple different reasons
- It is from Yacuanquer, Nariño where Paul's one of the favorite region in Colombia with high altitudes and vibrant cup quality.
- One of the main things that we were looking at when we bought this coffee was 'The Pickers' Project.'
TPP started in Nariño in 2018 as a pilot program, and now it's expanded to Huila with non-profit foundation 'Manos al Grano Foundation.'
TPP started to provide better, training program focusing on best harvest practices.
And in 2025, TPP were able to support 128 pickers across 34 farms throughout Nariño and Huila with full-time salary, benefits, healthcare and ongoing training. - On the second slide, you can see the names of the pickers who were the very first to touch your coffee.
This coffee is not as expressive as some of our past offerings, but it is such a daily driver for us past couple of weeks.
Its gentle yet vibrant acidity reminds us of quince, giving enough of acidity to enjoy this coffee from hot to cold. Sweetness reminds us classic caramel candy when hot and goes into nougat like as cools down. With its green tea like aftertaste, it makes this coffee very enjoyable throughout.
Hope this coffee can bring you comfort to you as it did to us.
We highly recommend resting it for at least three weeks.
Our brew guide will be up on Instagram(@neemcoffeeproject) soon, so be sure to check it out!
